Welcome…We are here to make music, by bringing together your talent and our resources to form a new Choir!!! In collaboration with our sponsors and other patrons of the arts, the PODOL GIRLS’ CHOIR has announced that it will be calling for members to form our choir. Do you have interest or experience in singing in a choir? We are looking for all levels of talent, from beginner to professional. If you are a singer aged between 17 and 23 years old, we would love to hear from you (but individuals outside this range may also be suitable, depending on talent and motivation, and should not be discouraged from applying). We meet twice a week in Podol, where you will be assured of a very warm welcome. We plan to establish multiple groups of 10-12 singers per group (up to around 20 max). Each group will have its own field of specialisation and focus, eg Ukrainian folk, musicals, classical, spiritual etc. What we can offer to talented and motivated choir members: • Free venue for meetings and rehearsals, 5 mins walk from M. Kontraktova Pl. • Free refreshments • English-speaking environment, with the opportunity to learn and/or improve your English • Performances at high profile and significant places, eg Foreign Embassies, TV, Shopping Centres etc • Corporate Sponsorship • Overseas travel possibilities • Possibility to progress from a voluntary basis to a semi-professional and professional basis, with the right combination of talent, motivation, and dedication As you can see, there are many benefits to being a member of PGC (as either a singer or a leader), and members receive all these benefits totally free of charge! As a first step, we are looking for a leader…a Choir Director…initially on a voluntary basis, (but with expenses paid)…the position will grow as the PGC grows, and remuneration will grow accordingly. We have plans to expand quickly; other projects currently planned for the near future include setting up a music/singing school (for which we are seeking qualified and talented teachers), engaging soloists, choreographers and other dance, drama and performing arts talent.
