At first, I was known as the younger brother of Donnie Wahlberg, a member of the cult pop group of the early 1990s New Kids on the Block. At the age of 20, Mark, along with Donnie, Danny Wood and brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, he was part of it. However, an alien "Cute-sugary" image of the group, it was soon abandoned.

My brothers and sisters (from senior to junior): Arthur, Jim, Debbie, Michelle, Paul, Tracy, Robert and Donnie. The latter two are also actors. His mother, Alma Elaine, at various times worked as a bank clerk and a nurse. His father, Donald Edward Wahlberg, was a truck driver. His parents divorced in 1982. Wahlberg is Swedish, Irish and French-Canadian roots. I received a Catholic upbringing and attended Copley Square High School in Boston.
